“I purchased a pallet of 40 Silver Grey Granite paving slabs from Nustone, and couldn’t be more pleased with the slabs or the service I received.
The slabs were delivered on time, by a very friendly driver. They were well packaged and in excellent condition. They were also the best price on the internet – half the price charged by my local builder’s merchant.
I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Nustone.”

The hard-wearing and durable Natural Stone Paving is designed for outdoor use and will stand the test of time even in harsh weather! The pavers are suited to the British climate offer a robust and long-lasting paving option which will last for decades when properly cared for.
The lightly flamed surface texture of each Granite slab helps the stone to retain its non-slip properties underfoot, even when wet! This may be something to consider for your project, depending on the use that you expect it to see. Granite will not become slippery underfoot unless the stone has seen excess use resulting in the surface texture being worn down.
Sealing & Cleaning Your Granite Paving
As a natural stone, Granite Paving is porous and will allow moisture to penetrate its surface. As a result, it is sometimes advised to seal your Granite Paving to help prevent any staining to the slabs.
You may want to consider sealing Granite Slabs, especially if your stone is light in colour, as any stains will be more visible. However, sealing is not compulsory and there is a wide range of sealing products on the market which will provide various different results. For example, some sealants will simply seal and protect, whereas others can be used to enhance the colour of your slabs.
Sealing can help to protect your paving from fading, which can occur over long periods of time within commercial projects where the stone is likely to see very high amounts of footfall. Typically Granite Paving will not visibly fade, unless the stone is seeing excessive use, such as within train stations or public walkways.
We offer a wide range of sealing and cleaning products which can be used for maintaining Granite Paving. See our full range here. If in doubt, speak to one of our experts who would be happy to answer your questions and provide any advice you may need!
As for when to apply a sealer your Granite, there are no specific guidelines on this, as each project will vary. Some people choose to seal their slabs before laying in order to prevent against any staining during the laying process, whereas others prefer to leave their stone unsealed for a full year to allow the stone to weather naturally before applying a sealant.
We always advise speaking to a local tradesperson who will be able to assess the many variables within your environment and offer some professional advice.
