Limestone Paving
Limestone is perfect for gardens patios or pathways and will last for many years as a very durable option which will withstand plenty of use and harsh weather conditions to keep your patio looking its best! As a heavy natural stone, limestone slabs are suited to either interior or exterior use and will stand the test of time whilst retaining grip underfoot. The riven surface of our limestone paving stones is created when the stone is split along its natural layers, providing a truly authentic finish and leaving beautiful natural variations in texture throughout the surface of each slab, meaning that no paver is exactly the same, one of the main appeals of Riven Paving! Each slab features hand-dressed edges which add to the natural, organic look and feel of the paving to create a timeless appeal to suit a range of patio designs.
Sealing & Cleaning Limestone Paving Stones
It’s generally advised to seal limestone paving to help prevent any staining, as well as helping to prevent the growth of any moss or algae and you may want to consider sealing your paving to help maintain the striking, dark tones too. However, sealing is not compulsory and there is a wide range of sealing products on the market which will provide various results! Some sealants will simply seal and protect, whereas others can be used to enhance the colour of your slabs. Sealing limestone paving will also help to protect against other general wear and as for when to apply a sealer, there are no specific guidelines, but most landscapers will have their own tried and tested methods.
