See and feel the stone before ordering, so you can be sure you are making the right choice! Transform your garden or patio with the medley of natural colours and tones found within our Sandstone Paving. This choice of garden paving offers the charm and appeal that only natural stone can offer. With beautiful variations in colour throughout, each paver features its own unique tones formed naturally over thousands of years, promising your garden or patio a finish filled with character! Choose from a naturally riven surface texture or a smooth, sawn & honed option to find the right style of garden paving for you!
Riven or Sawn & Honed Sandstone? What’s the difference?
A riven surface is created naturally when the stone is split along its layers, providing a truly authentic finish. This process leaves beautiful natural variations in texture throughout the surface of each slab, meaning that no paver is exactly the same, one of the main appeals of Riven Sandstone Paving! Each riven slab features hand-dressed edges which add to the natural, organic look and feel of paving to create a timeless appeal. This style of Indian stone paving is suited to traditional settings and is a great alternative to Yorkstone, whilst also working out to be less expensive!
Sawn sandstone is sawn straight off the block rather than being split naturally. The sawn slabs are then cut down to size and the top surface is honed or sandblasted, creating a smooth finish with a slight sheen. Our Smooth Sandstone Paving is sawn on all 6 sides, meaning that the 4 edges are also straight and machine-cut with a smooth finish to complete the contemporary look.
Porcelain Paving is a durable, state-of-the-art option with a vast number of benefits and is suited to a wide range of uses. Our porcelain slabs are suitable for patios, pathways and even driveways due to the extremely durable nature of the stone. The lightly textured non-slip surface provides added safety to any project and the non-slip rating of R11 makes the slabs perfect for any family garden or even a larger commercial project and will maintain their non-slip qualities even when wet. Our porcelain paving is robust and long-lasting with a stain and scratch-resistant surface, making it the perfect choice of low-maintenance garden paving! The non-porous surface prevents any excess moisture from building up within the stone, meaning that your paving will not be prone to any build-up of moss or algae and you won’t need to worry about any excess rainwater or accidental spillages. The low-maintenance patio stones can simply be wiped clean with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or spills, saving you time and money! Outdoor porcelain tiles are also impervious to fading and will stay true to their original colour even when subjected to excessive sunlight during the Summer and won’t become too hot underfoot either.
Granite Paving is a perfect choice if you’re looking for a stylish, high-end finish! As a hard-wearing natural stone, granite slabs are known for their durability, non-slip and scratch-resistant properties. Robust yet stunning, granite pavers are ideal for use on patios, paths and around pools in any domestic or commercial project. This popular paving material is available in a range of colours to suit any design needs and the surface texture of each granite paver helps the stone to retain its non-slip properties underfoot.
Slate Paving has a unique naturally riven texture and is available in a range of eye-catching colour options, suitable for creating a modern or traditional patio design that will bring life to any garden. Like many natural stone paving materials, slate paving slabs are a very durable option for patios and pathways and a high-quality slate tile can last for decades making them an excellent option for high traffic outdoor areas. Slate slabs are also very stain-resistant, meaning that your stone can look as good as new for years to come! Both its durability and stain-resistant nature makes it one of the best choices for those who want a no-fuss, low maintenance space.
Limestone Paving has been used for patios and garden paving for decades and is a popular option due to its bold, dark tones which offer a dramatic look to any patio and can either act as the focal point or blend into the background of your space. The lightly riven surface texture offers some subtle variations across the surface of the slabs and, as well as being one of the most affordable natural stone paving options available, Limestone paving is also very durable, making it perfect for a wide variety of outdoor areas and, as result, has been used in the building and construction industry for many years.
