Shot Blasted Paving
Choose from Shot Blasted Sandstone or Granite Paving for a textured look that adds an extra level of interest to your paving. A shot-blasted stone offers more consistency in the finish than a naturally riven stone and is perfect for any project which needs the sleek and modern appearance of a sawn stone with a little extra grip.
What Is Shot Blasting?
Shot blasting is a technique used to produce a slightly rough texture to the surface of the stone. Each slab is sawn on all six sides before the top surface of the pavers is peppered with shots of small steel beads at high velocity. This removes a fine layer from the surface of the stone and adds an even degree of texturing to the surface of the slabs for a textured look, as well as adding some extra grip underfoot.
Which paving slabs should I choose?
Sandstone paving slabs offer the charm and appeal that only natural stone can offer. With beautiful variations in colour throughout, each paver features unique tones formed naturally over thousands of years and promises a finish filled with character.
Granite is a stylish and hard-wearing choice of paving slabs which are known for their durability as well as their non-slip and scratch-resistant properties. Granite pavers are ideal for use on patios, paths and around pools in any domestic or commercial project. The texture of each slab helps to retain grip underfoot and leaves the slabs with a surface that glistens beautifully in the sunlight!
