MOT Type 1 is made up of crushed gravel and stones and stabilises the ground to form a load-bearing sub-base for paving.
A paving sub-base allows for sufficient drainage and helps to prevent weeds from growing up through the surface, and Type 1 MOT prevents surfaces from becoming unstable.
Our MOT Type 1 is made up of crushed granite and frost-resistant, so it won't crack when exposed to freezing temperatures.
1 tonne provides approximately 6m² coverage at a standard depth of 100mm.
- Extensively used for roads, paths, and many other construction projects.
- Material colour and consistency may vary.
- Not suitable for decorative purposes.
