Charcoal Granite Setts
Durable & Hard-Wearing
Lightly Flamed Surface Texture
Charcoal Granite Setts are a robust block paving option for your garden or driveway and are often used as an edging or border for patio designs. The durability and hard-wearing properties of granite setts will ensure that your garden, patio or driveway stays looking its best through the year, whilst maintaining a luxury finish.
The granite block paving is accurately machine cut to size, tumbled and then flamed, producing a hard-wearing block paving product with a non-slip and scratch-resistant surface. Our charcoal granite is a dark-grey colour and appears darker when wet, with the surface of each sett featuring a range of black, charcoal and grey tones. As one of the most robust natural stone paving options available, granite setts will stand the test of time in any patio, garden or driveway and are also suited to much larger commercial projects due to their ability to withstand large weights and high amounts of traffic.
The lightly flamed surface texture of each sett helps the stone to retain its non-slip properties underfoot and is achieved by heating the surface of the slabs, causing some of the crystals within the stone to shatter, leaving the slabs with a textured surface which is ideal for exterior paving. Our Granite Setts are ‘tumbled’, meaning that the stone is rotated in a drum with sand and water which gently softens any sharp or rough edges. This provides the block paving with a slightly worn appearance which looks as though it has been in place for a number of years, helping the stone to blend into its setting right away.
Granite products are entirely natural and will feature variations in colour, tone and pattern. This is a feature of the product and our product images will give a great overview of some of the natural variations you could receive. Colours will appear more vibrant when wet and subtler prior to installation before the stone has absorbed any moisture.
Coverage, Waste & Variations
The m² coverage of each product reflects the total area that the stone will cover including the recommended joint widths.
As a natural product, granite is subject to natural variations in tone and colour. The exact variations that you will receive in each crate can never be pre-determined.
We always advise ordering an additional 10-15% to account for off-cuts and waste. You can find out more about accounting for waste here.
