Rippon Buff Indian Sandstone features a range of colours throughout the smooth, sawn surface. The unique swirls and veining provide the stone with its natural charm and beauty which really come to life when the stone is wet.

Rippon Buff Indian Sandstone is sawn straight off the block and cut down to size, then the top surface of each slab is honed, creating a smooth finish with a slight sheen. All 4 edges are machine-cut with a smooth finish to complete the contemporary look and each slab is calibrated to 20mm in thickness with a bevelled edge.
Our sawn sandstone has a level of natural slip resistance and we advise taking the usual care and precautions when walking on the slabs when wet, but the slabs are not known to be slippery and are designed specifically for outdoor use.
Sandstone products are entirely natural and will feature variations in colour, tone and pattern. This is a feature of the product and the exact colours you will receive can never be pre-determined. Colours will appear more vibrant when wet and subtler prior to installation before the stone has absorbed any moisture.

Coverage, Waste & Variations
The m² coverage of each product reflects the total area that the stone will cover including the recommended joint widths.
As a natural product, sandstone is subject to natural variations in tone and colour. The exact variations that you will receive in each crate can never be pre-determined.
Each slab is calibrated with a tolerance of +/- 5mm.
We always advise ordering an additional 10-15% to account for off-cuts and waste. You can find out more about accounting for waste here.
